In June 2010, North Shore Church elected the Rev. Lee Rushing as Senior Pastor. Lee is an enthusiastic pastor and evangelist. His sermons are biblical and inspiring. Lee and his wife, Sherry, have been married 30 years. They have three sons, Bryan (Construction Science major from Texas A&M), Stephen (web-designer and graphic artist) and Kevin (home-schooled and loves baseball),and two grandchildren. Lee can often be found playing racquetball, on a date with his wife, reading with his family, or watching a good movie.
Lee is the founding Director and Evangelist of Lee Rushing Ministries, which includes CrossPoint Ministries, Inc. and Backpack Evangelism, Houston, Texas. He has authored and published a book entitled Backpack Evangelism, Gospel tracts, Scripture Memory Card steps, and discipleship training booklets; designed and manufactured special backpacks and other products for convenience in utilizing personal evangelism and discipleship resources. He is a regular speaker for chapel services at private Christian schools and preaches for church events such as Disciple Now, conferences, rallies, work-shops, seminars, summer camps, retreats, graduation banquets, youth groups, pulpit supply, chapel programs, and revival meetings. Lee has earned a Masters Degree at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas. Prior to that, he graduated from Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas. He also did postgraduate studies at Jerusalem University College in Israel. He is also a past member of Toastmaster's International, having obtained CTM and ATM accreditation.
